About Women's NGO Secretariat of Liberia （WONGOSOL）
The Women’s NGO Secretariat of Liberia, commonly known as WONGOSOL, is a non-governmental, women-led organization established in 1998 to coordinate the activities of women’s organizations across Liberia. It serves as a national platform that brings together women’s groups to advocate for women’s rights, gender equality, peacebuilding, leadership development, and social justice.
WONGOSOL works to strengthen the capacity of women and girls, promote inclusive governance, and support women’s participation in decision-making processes at both community and national levels. The organization also plays a major role in advocacy against gender-based violence and in advancing policies that protect and empower women throughout Liberia’s 15 counties.
